Our Ethiopia Sidamo is a fragrant, fruit-forward specialty coffee with delicate sweetness and pleasantly vibrant acidity.

Its elegant notes of jasmine, black tea, and bergamot make it an especially expressive coffee.

DESCRIPTION

A fruity, gently bittersweet coffee with delicate sweetness and lively acidity. Floral notes of jasmine meet black tea and the fresh citrus character of bergamot.

This washed 100% Arabica coffee is sourced from several smallholder farmers in Ethiopia’s Sidamo region. The beans are grown at elevations between 1,500 and 2,200 meters (4,920–7,220 feet) in nutrient-rich volcanic soils that provide ideal conditions for the region’s distinctive flavor profile.

With an SCA score of 84.75, Ethiopia Sidamo stands out for its exceptional quality and elegant, complex flavor profile. A particularly light roast preserves the beans’ characteristic fruity and floral aromas.

In Sidamo, coffee is grown exclusively by smallholder farmers. After harvest, the ripe coffee cherries are delivered to local cooperatives, where they are fully washed and then sun-dried on raised drying beds.

Ethiopia is widely regarded as the birthplace of coffee. Sidamo takes its name from the region where it is grown, while Grade 2 refers to its quality classification.

We recommend brewing this coffee as an espresso or using a pour-over method.
